I didn’t take the traditional route into tech. I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Theatre Arts, taught high school, and worked as an Executive Assistant. Not exactly Silicon Valley, but it taught me how to understand and manage people, solve chaos, and get things done.
Somewhere between backstage drama and executive decisions, I found my lane: building structure, coaching teams, supporting founders, working with venture capitalists and helping startups scale without the burnout.
After two layoffs (no thanks to COVID and business restructuring), I had two options to either be bitter or build better; I chose the latter. Over a decade working in the tech industry, I’ve led operations at global startups, directly managed hundreds of people, and trained over thousands of professionals, and mentored early-stage founders across Africa, the UK and beyond.
